Chicago, Dallas and Winnipeg move to CDT for the warmer months: five hours behind UTC, from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November.
Example: First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. CDT at Wrigley Field.
CDT has the same offset as Eastern Standard Time, so Chicago's summer clocks match New York's winter clocks. In Cuba, CDT also stands for Cuba Daylight Time (UTC−4). Mexican municipalities along the US border kept daylight saving in 2022 to stay in step with their US neighbors.
2. Cadet (US Army)

Title for students training to become Army officers at the US Military Academy at West Point and in Army ROTC programs. Cadets sit outside the enlisted and officer rank structure, though both programs use internal cadet ranks and insignia for student leadership positions.
Example: CDT Lopez will be commissioned as a second lieutenant at graduation in May.
West Point cadets are members of the Regular Army and receive pay while attending, whereas ROTC cadets are civilians until commissioning, apart from contracted scholarship cadets who receive a stipend.
