AWS launched its first major services, S3 and EC2, in 2006 and became Amazon's main source of operating profit. The us-east-1 region in Northern Virginia is the oldest and largest, and its outages can affect many companies at once. Andy Jassy led AWS before becoming Amazon's CEO in 2021. Its annual conference, re:Invent, is held in Las Vegas.

Symptoms that develop when a person with physical alcohol dependence stops or sharply reduces drinking: tremor, sweating, anxiety, nausea and insomnia within 6–24 hours, possible seizures at 12–48 hours, hallucinations, and in severe cases delirium tremens.
Example: AWS, last drink 14 hours ago, CIWA-Ar 18; give chlordiazepoxide per symptom-triggered protocol.
Severity is monitored with the CIWA-Ar scale, and symptom-triggered benzodiazepine dosing reduces total medication compared with fixed schedules. Withdrawal seizures can occur without other symptoms. Outpatient management is possible for mild cases with support. Pronounced as letters.
