PTAL stands for Please take a look, a programming abbreviation.
Code-review shorthand asking someone to review a change, or to look again after the author has addressed earlier comments. It is common in Google-style review cultures and open-source projects.
Example: Addressed all comments and rebased on main. PTAL, Maria.
Usage notes
Sometimes expanded as "please take another look" when sent after revisions. It pairs with LGTM, the approval that ideally follows. Like most review shorthand, it spread from internal company tools into public repositories on GitHub and Gerrit.
