Usage notes

Microsoft's Windows Media Center, introduced with Windows XP Media Center Edition in 2002 and dropped from Windows 10, supported HTPCs with TV tuners and a "ten-foot" interface. Streaming boxes and smart TVs have replaced most HTPCs, but enthusiasts still build them for lossless audio formats and large local libraries.
