BEng stands for Bachelor of Engineering, a degree abbreviation.
Accredited undergraduate engineering degree in the UK, Ireland, Australia, Hong Kong and elsewhere, typically three years in England and four in Scotland and Australia. In the UK an accredited BEng (Hons) fully meets the academic requirement for Incorporated Engineer status and partly meets it for Chartered Engineer.
Example: The role requires a BEng in electrical or electronic engineering accredited by the IET.
Usage notes
Also written B.Eng. Graduates seeking Chartered Engineer status usually add further learning, such as an accredited MSc, or take the four-year integrated MEng instead. In the US the same level of study is normally a BS in a named discipline, such as a BSEE or BSME.
