ACFT stands for Army Combat Fitness Test, a military term abbreviation.

Army fitness test introduced as the test of record in 2022, consisting of six events: a three-repetition maximum deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-up, sprint-drag-carry, plank and two-mile run.

Example: She scored 540 on the ACFT, well above the minimum for her MOS.

Usage notes

The ACFT replaced the decades-old APFT and was revised several times, including swapping the leg tuck for the plank. Scoring standards have been adjusted by age, sex and, in some versions, by specialty. In 2025 the Army replaced it with the five-event Army Fitness Test (AFT).
