VHIC stands for Veteran Health Identification Card, a veteran abbreviation.
Photo ID card issued to veterans enrolled in VA health care, used to check in at VA facilities and, for many, as proof of veteran status for discounts.

Usage notes
The card does not replace private insurance cards and is not a credit card. Veterans not enrolled in VA health care can request a separate Veteran ID Card (VIC). Lost cards can be replaced at the local VA medical center.
