CRDP stands for Concurrent Retirement and Disability Pay, a veteran abbreviation.
Program that lets military retirees with at least 20 years of service and a VA disability rating of 50 percent or higher receive both full retired pay and VA disability compensation without the usual offset.
Example: Once his rating hit 50 percent, CRDP restored his full retirement check.
Usage notes
Without CRDP, retired pay is reduced dollar for dollar by VA compensation. CRDP is taxable, while CRSC is not. Legislation to extend concurrent receipt to retirees rated below 50 percent has been proposed repeatedly.
