Usage notes
The USB Promoter Group published USB4 in 2019 after Intel contributed the Thunderbolt 3 specification. USB4 Version 2.0 followed in 2022. Thunderbolt 4 and 5 ports are USB4-compatible with stricter minimum requirements. Packaging uses performance labels such as "USB 40Gbps" rather than version numbers. It is written without a space before the 4.
