USB-B stands for Universal Serial Bus Type-B, a computer hardware abbreviation.
Square-ish USB connector with beveled top corners used on the device end of cables for printers, scanners, audio interfaces and some external drives. Smaller variants include Mini-B and Micro-B, the "micro-USB" port of Android phones before USB-C.
Example: The printer needs a USB-A to USB-B cable, which isn't included in the box.
Usage notes
Separate A and B ends were designed so users could not connect two computers or two devices directly. Micro-B, introduced in 2007, was the charging port on most non-Apple phones until USB-C replaced it in the late 2010s. USB 3.0 versions of the B and Micro-B connectors have an extra section for the additional SuperSpeed wires.
