Fan fiction about real people, such as actors, musicians, athletes or streamers, rather than fictional characters. Often written about bands and K-pop groups.

Example: The RPF tag for that boy band is bigger than most TV fandoms.

Usage notes

RPF is controversial: some fans see it as harmless fantasy, while others consider it invasive, especially when it involves romance between real people. FanFiction.Net bans it, while AO3 allows it with tags. Some celebrities have publicly asked fans not to share RPF with them.
