2. Personal jurisdiction
Law & Legal · Litigation Abbreviations
A court's power over a particular defendant, based on the defendant's connections with the state where the court sits, such as residence, incorporation, business activities or conduct aimed at that state. Without it, a court cannot enter a binding judgment against that defendant.

The modern test comes from International Shoe Co. v. Washington (1945): minimum contacts such that suit does not offend traditional notions of fair play and substantial justice. Daimler AG v. Bauman (2014) limited general jurisdiction over corporations mainly to their home states. Unlike subject-matter jurisdiction, it can be waived.
3. Petaling Jaya
Geography & Places · City and Neighborhood Abbreviations

4. Presiding Justice or Presiding Judge (P.J.)
Law & Legal · Court Abbreviations
Title abbreviation for the judge who leads a court or one of its divisions, used in California Court of Appeal opinions and in the New York Appellate Division. In some state trial courts the presiding judge manages case assignments and administration.
Example: Opinion by Ramos, P.J., with Lee and Chen, JJ., concurring.
Each division of the California Court of Appeal has one presiding justice and several associate justices, and the presiding justice usually assigns opinions within the division. Do not confuse it with PJ meaning personal jurisdiction in civil procedure.
