OTG stands for USB On-The-Go, a computer hardware abbreviation.
USB feature that lets a phone or tablet act as a host, so it can connect directly to flash drives, keyboards, mice, game controllers and cameras without a computer.
Example: With an OTG adapter, I copied the photos from my camera's card reader straight to my phone.
Usage notes
USB On-The-Go was introduced in 2001 as a supplement to USB 2.0, letting a device switch between host and peripheral roles. In the micro-USB era it required a special adapter; with USB-C, most phones support it natively. Not every device enables it, so spec sheets list "OTG support". OTG can also mean an oven-toaster-griller in Indian English.
