Activity order or charting note that the patient may get up, or did get up, from bed, usually to a chair or for walking. Early mobilization after surgery lowers the risk of pneumonia, blood clots and deconditioning, so OOB orders often specify how often.
Example: OOB to chair TID with meals, ambulate in hall BID.
Common variants include "OOB ad lib" (as desired) and "OOB with assist". In charting it records an activity, as in "OOB to chair x 2 hrs, tolerated well". The opposite instruction is BR (bed rest). Outside healthcare the letters also mean out of band or out of bounds.

Area outside a game's intended playable space, reached through glitches, clipping through walls or exploiting physics. Getting OOB can reveal unfinished areas, skip whole levels or crash the game.
Example: Found a way to get OOB in the lobby and see the whole map from above.
Speedrunners exploit OOB glitches to skip large sections of games, and explorers post footage of hidden, unfinished areas. Developers often patch such exploits, and in competitive play deliberately going OOB can lead to penalties or bans. In sports, OOB means a ball leaving the field.
