OCIE stands for Organizational clothing and individual equipment, a military term abbreviation.
Field gear issued to soldiers for their time in a unit, such as helmets, body armor, rucksacks, sleeping systems and cold-weather clothing, which must be returned when they leave.

Usage notes
Soldiers sign for OCIE at a central issue facility (CIF) and pay for lost items. Older soldiers often call the same equipment "TA-50," after the table of allowances that once authorized it. Pronounced "OH-see."
