1. Glasgow Coma Scale

Standard score of consciousness combining eye opening (1 to 4), verbal response (1 to 5) and motor response (1 to 6), for a total of 3 to 15. It is used after head injury, in strokes, intoxication and intensive care.
Example: GCS 9 (E2 V3 M4) on arrival, intubated for airway protection.
Published by Graham Teasdale and Bryan Jennett at the University of Glasgow in 1974. A total of 8 or less is classically linked with the need to protect the airway. Recording the three components separately is recommended because the same total can describe very different patients. Intubated patients receive a "T" verbal score.
2. Google Cloud Storage

Google Cloud's object storage service for unstructured data, organized in buckets with storage classes from Standard to Archive, used for backups, data lakes, media and static websites.
Example: Export the BigQuery table to GCS as Parquet files for the partner to download.
Its gs:// URLs are recognized by many data tools, and an S3-compatible XML API eases migrations. Colder storage classes trade lower monthly prices against retrieval fees and minimum storage periods. In aviation GCS can mean ground control station.
