FTTP stands for Fiber to the premises, a telecom abbreviation.
Network architecture with optical fiber running directly to the building, whether a home or a business, covering both FTTH and fiber to the business. In the UK it is marketed as "full fibre".
Example: Openreach upgraded our street to FTTP, so we can now get a 900 Mbit/s package.
Usage notes
The term is especially common in British and Australian usage; Australia's National Broadband Network uses FTTP alongside other technologies. Providers distinguish FTTP from FTTC, which still uses copper for the final stretch. Installing FTTP usually requires a technician visit to fit an optical network terminal.
