Usage notes
SBL uses Exod, and many study Bibles and short lists use Ex or Ex.; the form Exo. also appears in older indexes. The Hebrew name is Shemot ("names"). A second version of the commandments appears in Deuteronomy 5, which is why citations should give the book.
