Copr. stands for Copyright, an intellectual property abbreviation.

Abbreviation expressly allowed by US copyright law in a copyright notice, as an alternative to the word "Copyright" or the circle-C symbol. A notice combines it with the year of first publication and the owner's name.

Example: The title page reads "Copr. 2024 Harbor Press" beneath the book's title.

Usage notes

Authorized by 17 U.S.C. § 401(b). Notice has been optional for works published since March 1, 1989, when the US joined the Berne Convention, but a proper notice still defeats a defense of innocent infringement. Sound recordings use a circle-P symbol instead.
