CF% stands for Corsi for percentage, an ice hockey abbreviation.

Share of all shot attempts (goals, shots on goal, missed shots and blocked shots) a team or player's team generates while he is on the ice. A CF% above 50 means the team controlled possession with that player on the ice.

Example: His line posted a 58 CF% at five-on-five, the best on the team.

Usage notes

Named after Jim Corsi, a goaltending coach with the Buffalo Sabres, by analyst Tim Barnes, who chose the name in the late 2000s. Fenwick (FF%) is a similar stat that excludes blocked shots. Expected-goals models have since added shot quality to the picture.
