WAHM stands for Work-at-home mom, a parenting forum abbreviation.
Mother who earns money from home, through remote employment, freelancing or a home business, while also caring for children. Forum threads compare schedules, childcare and naptime productivity.
Example: Any WAHMs here who manage to work with a toddler around?
Usage notes
Popular in the 2000s blogging era and revived by remote work after 2020. Variants include WFHM (work-from-home mom) and WAHD (dad). Sometimes associated with direct-sales schemes, which forums warn about.
