OCPD stands for Obsessive-compulsive personality disorder, a mental health & psychiatry abbreviation.
Personality disorder characterized by a pervasive preoccupation with orderliness, perfectionism, rules and control at the expense of flexibility and efficiency. People with OCPD usually see their standards as correct, unlike people with OCD, who find their obsessions unwanted.
Example: OCPD traits causing work conflicts: rigid rules for team, unable to delegate; start CBT.
Usage notes
The distinction is often summarized as ego-syntonic (OCPD, consistent with one's self-image) versus ego-dystonic (OCD, experienced as intrusive). OCPD is one of the most common personality disorders in community surveys. The two conditions can coexist. It belongs to the anxious-fearful cluster C of DSM-5 personality disorders.
