KST stands for Korea Standard Time, a time zone abbreviation.
South Korea's time, UTC+9 all year, the same as Japan. North Korea also uses UTC+9, having switched back in 2018 from its own Pyongyang Time (UTC+8:30).
Example: The K-pop comeback stage airs at 6 p.m. KST on Thursday.
Usage notes
South Korea last observed daylight saving during the 1987 and 1988 summers, around the Seoul Olympics. North Korea introduced Pyongyang Time in 2015 and reverted after the 2018 inter-Korean summit. Seoul lies near 127° E, well west of the zone's meridian, so winter mornings stay dark late.
