English rendering of corporate forms in Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Georgia, Vietnam and other countries whose capital is divided into shares, with shareholders' liability limited. Older usage distinguished open (OJSC) and closed (CJSC) joint-stock companies.
Example: Kazakhstan's national oil company operates as JSC NC KazMunayGas.
Russia's 2014 civil code reform replaced open and closed joint-stock companies with public (PJSC) and non-public (JSC) companies. Translations vary between JSC, AO and OJSC, so the same company may appear differently in different sources. Vietnamese banks such as VietinBank include "Joint Stock" in their English names.
2. Justice of the Supreme Court

Post-nominal title for a justice of New York's trial-level Supreme Court, written "J.S.C." on orders, and for justices of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, as in "Lord Leggatt JSC". The UK court's President and Deputy President use PSC and DPSC.
Example: The order was signed by Hon. Maria Lopez, J.S.C., on the day of the hearing.
In New Jersey, J.S.C. instead means Judge of the Superior Court, and J.A.D. a judge of the Appellate Division. New York's Supreme Court, despite its name, is a trial court; its highest court is the Court of Appeals.
