Usage notes

Founded in 1969 by John Bishop and Bill France Sr., and owned by NASCAR. Its top class, GTP, uses hybrid prototypes built to rules shared with the WEC's Hypercar class, so some cars race in both series. Pronounced as a word, "IM-suh."
