IDGAF stands for I don't give a f***, a texting and chat abbreviation.

Crude statement of complete indifference or defiance, aimed at rules, other people's opinions or criticism. It is much stronger than IDC and often deliberately provocative.

Example: Idgaf about the dress code, I'm wearing sneakers.

Usage notes

Dua Lipa's 2018 single "IDGAF" carried the abbreviation onto mainstream radio. Ruder than IDC and inappropriate for work, school or family chats. Often used as a defiant attitude statement in captions rather than in conversation.
