IDEK

Texting & Internet Slang abbreviation · Texting and Chat

IDEK stands for I don't even know, a texting and chat abbreviation.

Expresses confusion or bewilderment, often humorously about something absurd or overwhelming. The word "even" adds exasperation, suggesting the situation is too strange to explain.

Example: Idek what happened in that episode, did everyone just die?

Usage notes

Popular among teens on Tumblr and Twitter in the 2010s. Stronger than IDK: it signals complete confusion rather than a simple gap in knowledge. Informal, and best kept to friends.
