Example: Diffuse SSc, anti-Scl-70 positive, FVC falling to 68 percent; start mycophenolate for ILD.

Commonly called scleroderma, though that word also covers skin-only forms. Nearly all patients have Raynaud phenomenon. Interstitial lung disease is the leading cause of death, and scleroderma renal crisis is treated with ACE inhibitors. The limited form was previously called CREST syndrome. Anti-centromere antibodies suggest limited disease.

3. Secondary School Certificate (SSC)

Education & Academia · Standardized Test Abbreviations

Public examination taken at the end of Class 10 in Bangladesh, Pakistan and several Indian states, including Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, marking the completion of secondary school. Results decide which stream, science, commerce or arts, a student can enter for higher secondary study.

Example: After her SSC results, she chose the science stream at junior college.

In Pakistan the SSC is often called "matric" (matriculation). In India SSC also refers to the Staff Selection Commission, a government recruitment body, so context matters. National boards such as CBSE call the same stage the Class 10 board exam.
