repr. stands for Reprint or reprinted, a citation and bibliography abbreviation.
Indicates that a work was reprinted, often by a different publisher or many years after first publication. Citations give both dates so readers know the original context.
Example: Fitzgerald, F. Scott. The Great Gatsby. 1925. Repr., New York: Scribner, 2004.
Usage notes
Chicago uses "repr.," while older editions of the MLA Handbook used "rpt." for the same purpose. A reprint keeps the original text, unlike a new edition, though it may add an introduction. "Reprinted in" signals that an essay or story appeared in a later collection.
