NCOER stands for Noncommissioned Officer Evaluation Report, a military term abbreviation.
Army performance evaluation for sergeants through command sergeants major, rated by a supervisor and a senior rater and used by promotion boards and for assignments.
Example: Make sure your NCOER bullets show measurable results, not just duties.
Usage notes
Since 2016, separate NCOER forms apply to sergeants, to staff sergeants through first sergeants and master sergeants, and to sergeants major. Senior rater top-block ratings are limited for senior grades, similar to officer reports.
