FOK stands for Fill or kill, a stock market & investing abbreviation.
Order instruction requiring the entire order to be executed immediately at the specified price or not at all. It prevents both partial fills and lingering orders.
Example: The trader used a FOK order because a partial fill of the block would be worse than none.
Usage notes
FOK combines "all or none" with "immediate or cancel." Such orders are more common in foreign exchange, futures and institutional block trading than in retail stock trading. If the full size is not available at once, the order is simply canceled.
