eFG% stands for Effective field goal percentage, a basketball abbreviation.

Shooting percentage adjusted for the extra value of three-pointers: (FGM + 0.5 x 3PM) / FGA. It lets analysts compare a guard who shoots threes with a center who shoots near the rim.

Example: His 58.4 eFG% ranks among the best for any high-volume shooter.

Usage notes

One of Dean Oliver's "four factors" of basketball success, along with turnover rate, offensive rebounding rate and free-throw rate. Unlike TS%, eFG% ignores free throws.
