EEST stands for Eastern European Summer Time, a time zone abbreviation.
Finland, the Baltic states, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Cyprus move three hours ahead of UTC for EEST, from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October.
Example: Ferries leave Piraeus at 07:30 EEST for the islands.
Usage notes
In summer the Eastern European zone therefore matches Istanbul and Moscow, which stay at UTC+3 all year, while in winter it falls an hour behind them. Moldova and Lebanon also follow EET in winter and EEST in summer.
