CategoriesBusiness & Finance

DPU stands for Delivered at Place Unloaded, a logistics, supply chain & trade abbreviation.

Only Incoterms rule requiring the seller to unload the goods at the named destination, bearing all costs and risks until they are unloaded there. Import clearance and duties remain the buyer's responsibility.

Example: Under DPU, our crew unloads the turbines at the site before risk passes to you.

Usage notes

Introduced in Incoterms 2020 to replace DAT (Delivered at Terminal), broadening the destination from a terminal to any place. The seller should be sure it can actually arrange unloading at the named place before agreeing to DPU.
