Shutdown corners can take away an opponent's top receiver for an entire game; Deion Sanders and Darrelle Revis are classic examples, and "Revis Island" described a receiver isolated in Revis's coverage. In soccer CB means center back, a central defender, so check the sport.

4. Construction Battalion

Navy construction unit whose members, the Seabees, build and repair airfields, roads, bases and facilities in combat zones and disaster areas. The nickname "Seabees" comes from the letters CB.
Example: The CB detachment rebuilt the runway after the typhoon.
The Seabees were formed in early 1942, and they celebrate March 5 as their birthday. Today's units are naval mobile construction battalions (NMCB), and Seabees fought and built across the Pacific in World War II. Their official motto is Construimus, Batuimus, "We Build, We Fight."
