AACSB stands for Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, an academic abbreviation.

Global accrediting body for business schools, founded in 1916 by a group of US universities including Harvard, Yale and Columbia. AACSB accreditation is held by only a small fraction of the world's business schools and is a key quality signal for MBA and accounting programs.

Example: Only graduates of AACSB-accredited programs qualify for the firm's leadership program.

Usage notes

A separate AACSB accounting accreditation exists for accounting programs. Together with AMBA and EQUIS, it forms the "triple crown" of business school accreditation. Reviews take place every five years.
