TV-G stands for General Audience, a film, television and theater abbreviation.
US TV rating for programs that most parents would find suitable for all ages, with little or no violence, no strong language and little or no sexual dialogue. Not specifically designed for children.
Example: The cooking competition is rated TV-G and safe for family viewing.
Usage notes
Many game shows, nature documentaries and cooking programs carry TV-G. The rating mirrors the film rating G, although the two systems are run by different bodies.
