LYK stands for Let you know, a texting and chat abbreviation.
Promises a later update, as in "I'll lyk when I'm free." It is the mirror image of LMK (let me know): the writer, not the reader, will supply the information.
Example: Still waiting on my schedule, I'll lyk by tonight.
Usage notes
Common among teens and young adults, and usually appears in "I'll lyk" or "will lyk." Readers unfamiliar with it sometimes mistake it for a typo of "like." In work chat, the full phrase avoids that confusion.
