Example: Contractors get a DaaS desktop, so company data never lands on their personal laptops.
Usage notes
DaaS is the cloud-hosted form of virtual desktop infrastructure, moving servers and management to the provider. It gained popularity for remote work and short-term staff. The same letters sometimes mean data as a service, the sale of datasets through APIs.
