CSSYB stands for Certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt, a professional certification abbreviation.
Entry-level American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification for team members who support Six Sigma projects, covering basic tools such as process mapping and data collection. It requires no work experience.
Example: The plant trained all shift supervisors to CSSYB level before launching improvement projects.
Usage notes
Six Sigma belt levels borrow their names from martial arts ranks. Many companies and training providers issue their own Yellow Belts, so ASQ's certification is valued for its standardized exam. Yellow Belts usually assist Green and Black Belt projects.
