CSPO stands for Certified Scrum Product Owner, a professional certification abbreviation.
Scrum Alliance certification for product owners, the Scrum role responsible for the product backlog and maximizing product value. It is awarded after a live course with a Certified Scrum Trainer, without a separate exam.
Example: Our product managers took the CSPO course before the company adopted Scrum.
Usage notes
Because there is no exam, some employers view it mainly as proof of training. Advanced versions include A-CSPO and Certified Scrum Professional-Product Owner. The competing Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) from Scrum.org requires an assessment.
