bibliog. stands for Bibliography, a citation and bibliography abbreviation.
Denotes a bibliography, a list of sources or works on a subject, in book descriptions, catalog notes and citations. Older catalog records note "Includes bibliog. references" to describe a book's source lists.
Example: Includes bibliog. references (pp. 301-325) and index, according to the library catalog record.
Usage notes
Variants include bibl. and biblio. A bibliography may list all sources consulted, while a works-cited or reference list includes only those actually cited. Current Library of Congress records write "Includes bibliographical references and index" in full. Annotated bibliographies add a short summary of each source.
