Gateway to Spain's Costa del Sol, located about 8 kilometers southwest of Málaga, and one of Spain's busiest airports. It is popular with British and Scandinavian holidaymakers and second-home owners.

Example: The commuter train from AGP to Torremolinos takes about 10 minutes.

ICAO code LEMG. Opened in 1919, it is one of the oldest airports in Spain still in operation. A large share of its passengers are foreign residents of the coast.

2. Accelerated Graphics Port

Dedicated expansion slot for graphics cards introduced by Intel in 1997, giving the graphics chip a fast direct path to system memory. Versions ran at 1x, 2x, 4x and 8x, the last about 2.1 GB/s.

Example: My 2003 gaming PC had a Radeon 9700 Pro in its AGP 8x slot.

AGP was usually a brown slot set slightly farther from the board's edge than PCI slots. Cards and boards used different voltages, and keying notches prevented most dangerous mismatches. PCI Express x16 replaced AGP for graphics between 2004 and 2006, and few AGP cards were made afterward.
