1. Nonstress test

Prenatal test of fetal well-being that records the fetal heart rate for 20–40 minutes to look for accelerations with fetal movement. A "reactive" NST, with at least two accelerations in 20 minutes, is reassuring.
Example: NST reactive with 3 accelerations in 20 minutes; continue twice-weekly testing.
After 32 weeks, an acceleration is defined as a rise of 15 beats per minute lasting 15 seconds; before 32 weeks, 10 by 10. Common indications include diabetes, hypertension, post-dates pregnancy and decreased fetal movement. A nonreactive test is usually followed by a biophysical profile.
2. Newfoundland Standard Time

One of the few half-hour offsets in the Americas, UTC−3:30, used on the island of Newfoundland and in southeastern Labrador. In summer it becomes Newfoundland Daylight Time (NDT, UTC−2:30).
Example: The national news airs at 10 p.m. ET, 11:30 NST in Newfoundland.
Canadian broadcasters' habit of adding "half an hour later in Newfoundland" is a running joke and a point of local pride. Newfoundland kept its own time after joining Canada in 1949, preserving an offset close to local mean time at St. John's, the easternmost major city in North America.
