CASP+ stands for CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner, a professional certification abbreviation.
Advanced CompTIA certification for experienced security architects and engineers, covering enterprise security architecture, operations, engineering and governance. CompTIA renamed it SecurityX in late 2024.
Example: His résumé lists CASP+ and ten years of security engineering experience.
Usage notes
First introduced in 2011, the credential targets practitioners who implement solutions rather than managers. Existing CASP+ holders were granted the SecurityX name. It is approved for Department of Defense advanced roles.
