AIIMS stands for All India Institute of Medical Sciences, a university abbreviation.
Group of public medical colleges and hospitals in India, led by AIIMS New Delhi, established by Act of Parliament in 1956 under health minister Rajkumari Amrit Kaur. Admission is through the NEET exam and is among the most competitive in the country.
